She had a chance and she couldn’t waste it, the chance to be with someone who believed in the extraordinary. She knew that no one else would listen to her with the same respect, because people were afraid of discovering that life was magical.
They were used to their houses, their jobs, their expectations, and if someone turned up saying that it was possible to travel in time, that it was possible to see castles adrift in the universe, people who had never experienced such things would feel that life had cheated them.
Life, as far as they were concerned, was the same every day, every night, every weekend.
I love music and I am fond of organizing my Spotify account according to my mood. So I am sharing with you some of the songs in my Self-Love playlist from some of famous female singers. These songs promotes self-love and also empowerment. So if you ever feel down, I suggest that you here some of the songs below.
1. Taylor Swift
It is known that most of her songs ever since from her Country era were mostly about love, relationships, ex’s and damsels in distress (I am not complaining though since I love all of her songs). After switching to a different genre, it was nice seeing Taylor releasing songs about self-worth and self acceptance and they’re worthy of listening to.
Me! by Taylor Swift
This song screams so much self-love and the beat is addicting to.
You Need to Calm Down by Taylor Swift
Taylor expresses her support on the LGBTQ community in this song. As Taylor says, we all got crowns!
2. Selena Gomez
I am loving every song from Selena’s ‘Revival’ Album to her latest released songs in ‘Rare’. I can say that one of my go-to playlist is hers, especially the last two albums. But who can’t forget her song “Who says” from way back 2011. Even before, this woman tells us that we are beautiful and perfect!
Rare by Selena Gomez
Selena captivates us in this video. Also when she said “I don’t have it all/I’m not claiming to/But I know that I’m special”
Rise by Selena Gomez
“I know there are those who will wanna bring you down But you can rise with your mind and make your higher power proud”
3. Demi Lovato
From releasing heartbreaking songs to self-appreciating ones, Demi has also been through a lot. I have put her recent single “I love me” on-repeat since its release.
I love me by Demi Lovato
Demi explains that there are times that we are hard on ourselves but don’t forget that we are a ten out of ten.
“Why am I always looking for a ride or die?/’Cause mine’s the only heart I’m gonna have for life After all the times I went and fucked it up/I wonder when I love me is enough
I wonder when I love me is enough/I’m my own worst critic Talk a whole lot of shit/But I’m a ten out of ten Even when I forget/I’m a ten out of ten, don’t you ever forget it”
Confident by Demi Lovato
“So you say I’m complicated That I must be outta my mind But you had me underrated What’s wrong with being confident?”
4. Little Mix
I became a fan when I first heard them during the release of their song “Hair”. These girls promotes women empowerment through their songs. With such talent and confidence, who wouldn’t stan these girls?
Salute by Little Mix
Can’t get over with this song’s powerful lyrics and vocals!
You think we’re just pretty things You couldn’t be more wrong (We standing strong, we carry on) Knock us but we keep moving on (we’re moving up, yeah) Can’t stop a hurricane, ladies it’s time to awake (yeah)
Woman Like Me by Little Mix
“It takes a little while to figure me out I like my coffee with two sugars in it High heels and my jewelry dripping Drink and I get all fired up (hey, hey, hey) Insecure but I’m working with it Many things that I could get rid of Ain’t about to give it up”
Aside from the list above, I have added the songs below in my playlist:
Pretty Girl by Maggie Lindemann
Sit Still Look Pretty by Daya
Fight Song by Rachel Platten
Brave by Sara Bareilles
F**kin Perfect by Pink
Try by Colbie Caillat
Thanks for reading! How about you? Any song recommendation to add to the list? 🙂
